At 458 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Saltillo, or 8 miles north of Tupelo, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Tupelo, Baldwyn, Saltillo, Guntown, Pratts Friendship, Blair, Sherman, Marietta, Blue Springs, Graham, Jericho, Branyan, Ellistown, Kirkville, Jug Fork, Geeville, Beech Springs, Chapelville, Alpine, and Birmingham. This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 74 and 76, and between mile markers 90 and 91.
