At 435 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Tupelo, moving north at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Tupelo, Baldwyn, Verona, Trace State Park, Saltillo, Guntown, New Harmony, Pratts Friendship, Blair, Sherman, Blue Springs, Endville, Jericho, Branyan, Ellistown, Jug Fork, Flowerdale, Beech Springs, Chapelville, and Belden. This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 71 and 89.
