At 517 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles east of Taylorsville, or near Love Valley, moving south at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Statesville, Stony Point, Love Valley, Troutman, Lookout Shoals Lake, Hiddenite, Turnersburg, Olin, Vashti, and Union Grove.
