At 931 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking two strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Burgaw to near Kelly. Movement was southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Burgaw, Northwest, Point Caswell, Long Creek, Murray Town, Rooks, Ashton, Malpass Corner, Montague, Rocky Point, Currie, Castle Hayne, Wards Corner, The Borough, Phoenix, White Stocking, St. Helena, and Pender Memorial Hospital. This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 395 and 414.
