At 210 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 15 miles west of Marion, or near Black Mountain, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Black Mountain, Swannanoa, Lake Lure, Old Fort, Chimney Rock State Park, Montreat, and Sugar Hill.
