At 225 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Pittsboro, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Sanford, Pittsboro, Fuquay-Varina, Angier, Broadway, Crosswinds Boating Center, Crosswinds Campground, Raven Rock State Park, Olivia, and Jordan Lake State Rec Area. This includes US 1 between Mile Markers 70 and 90.
