At 156 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles east of Shelby to 8 miles east of Gaffney. Movement was northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Shelby, Kings Mountain, Cherryville, Bessemer City, Blacksburg, Grover, Patterson Springs, Waco, Earl, and Kings Mountain State Park.
