At 125 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near St. James, or near Oak Island, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Oak Island, Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, Holden Beach, Caswell Beach, Bald Head Island, Ocean Crest Pier, Boiling Spring Lakes, St. James, Southport, Fort Fisher, Brunswick County Community College Main Campus, Varnamtown, Bolivia, and Dosher Memorial Hospital.
