Areas of patchy fog have developed over portions of the western and southern Piedmont, Sandhills, and southern Coastal Plain of central North Carolina. Visibilities may be reduced to one quarter mile or less. Motorists driving this morning should make sure to allow extra driving time to reach your destination. Reduce driving speeds, increase following distances, and use only low beam headlights. Visibilities should improve by 9 am this morning.
