At 950 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms extending from near Albemarle and High Rock northeast to Badin, New Hope, and Eldorado, moving east at 10 mph. HAZARD...Heavy rain with rainfall rates in excess of 2 inches per hour. Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Asheboro, Albemarle, Randleman, Troy, Badin Lake, North Carolina Zoo, Seagrove, Plyler, Locust, and Badin. This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 53 and 88.
