At 726 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm capable of producing a landspout over South River, or 16 miles east of Havelock, moving south at 10 mph. HAZARD...Landspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... South River and Merrimon.
