At 406 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over King, or 8 miles southeast of Pilot Mountain, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Kernersville, Lewisville, Stokesdale, Walkertown, Jamestown, Rural Hall, and Pfafftown. This includes the following highways... Interstate 85 Mile Marker 113 and near Mile Marker 118. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 189 and 217. Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 99 and 103. Interstate 74 between Mile Markers 56 and 75.
