At 838 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms with heavy rainfall along a line extending from Clayton to near Fort Bragg. Movement was northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Raleigh, Fayetteville, Smithfield, Nashville, Louisburg, Lillington, Fort Bragg, Wake Forest, Garner, and Fuquay-Varina. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 97 and 46. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 295 and 333. Interstate 440 between Mile Markers 8 and 16. Interstate 540 between Mile Markers 14 and 24. NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 20 and 34.
