At 421 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Corapeake, or 8 miles northwest of South Mills, moving south at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Camden, northwestern Pasquotank, northwestern Perquimans and eastern Gates Counties, including the following locations... Lynchs Corner, Horseshoe, Acorn Hill, Peach, Whiteston, Nicanor, Sandy Cross, Hickory Crossroads, and Johnsons Corner.
