At 547 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorms extending from near High Rock to Randleman to 10 miles northwest of Burlington, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. Occasional lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... High Point, Burlington, Asheboro, Lexington, Graham, Randleman, Pittsboro, Siler City, and North Carolina Zoo. This includes the following highways... Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 33 and 35, and between Mile Markers 90 and 131. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 132 and 152, and between Mile Markers 219 and 226. Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 65 and 97. Interstate 74 between Mile Markers 73 and 79.
