At 446 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles west of Scotland Neck, or 12 miles south of Halifax, moving southeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Scotland Neck, Enfield, Whitakers, Hobgood, Speed and Leggett.
