At 117 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Askins to Petersburg. Movement was north at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... New Bern, River Bend, Phillips Crossroads, Richlands, Vanceboro, Askins, Comfort, Fort Barnwell, Jasper, Tuscarora, Rhems, Pleasant Hill, Petersburg, Bridgeton, Dover, Cove City, Hargetts Crossroads, and Trenton.
