At 1250 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Old Ford, or 9 miles southeast of Williamston, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Washington, southeastern Martin and north central Beaufort Counties, including the following locations... Dardens, Smithwick, Jamesville, and Long Acre VFD.
