At 311 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms over Wilson, or 15 miles south of Rocky Mount, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Wilson, Elm City, Pinetops, Lucama, Stantonsburg, Black Creek, Macclesfield, Saratoga, Sims, and Buckhorn Reservoir. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 127 and 116. NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 34 and 56.
