At 805 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Halifax to near Conway to Boykins. Movement was southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, pea size hail, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes. Locations impacted include... Ahoskie, Murfreesboro, Garysburg, Rich Square, Boykins, Chowan University, Conway, Woodland, Winton, Seaboard, Cofield, Como, Union, Weldon, Jackson, Severn, Lasker, Branchville, Eagletown, and Milwaukee.
