Bulletin details

At 738 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Purdy to near Radium to 9 miles southeast of Boydton. Movement was southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and frequent lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Emporia, Brunswick, Jarratt, Gasburg, and Ebony around 745 PM EDT. Green Plain and Barley around 750 PM EDT. Claresville around 755 PM EDT. Dahlia around 800 PM EDT. Gaston around 805 PM EDT. Roanoke Rapids around 810 PM EDT. Seaboard around 815 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Grizzard, Gum Forks, Dolphin, Bowens Corner, Yale, Pleasant Shade, Henrico, Forksville, Hilda, and Brink.
