At 542 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Manns Harbor, or 9 miles north of Stumpy Point, moving east at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, Manteo, Colington, Whalebone, Jockeys Ridge State Park, Roanoke Island Festival Park, Wright Brothers National Monument, Nags Head Fishing Pier, Avalon Pier, Wanchese, Bodie Island Lighthouse, and Outer Banks Fishing Pier.
