At 608 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms capable of producing a waterspout along a line extending from 6 miles east of Lowland to near Pamlico Beach. Movement was south at 20 mph. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Pamlico Beach and Lowland.
