At 438 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorms near Elon extending northeast to near Yanceyville, moving east at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. Occasional lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Durham, Burlington, Graham, Roxboro, Hillsborough, Mebane, Elon, Rougemont, Concord, and Gibsonville. This includes the following highways... Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 163 and 183. Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 140 and 162, and between Mile Markers 259 and 262. the Durham Freeway between Mile Markers 15 and 17.
