At 342 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles north of Robbinsville, or 4 miles northwest of Fontana Lake, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Fontana Lake, Fontana Village, Twentymile Creek, Kuwohi, Deep Creek, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
