Bulletin details

At 1037 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles northwest of Bryson City, or 4 miles east of Smoky Mountains-Fontana Area, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Bryson City, Fontana Lake, Smoky Mountains-Deep Creek, Smoky Mountains-Fontana Area, Smoky Mountains-Kuwohi, Stecoah, Almond, Luada, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
