At 627 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Fuquay-Varina, or 13 miles south of Cary, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, and Lake Benson. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 304 and 317.
