Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

At 500 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 7 miles east of Dunning, or 10 miles southwest of Brewster, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Taylor, Merna, Anselmo, Dunning, Victoria Springs State Recreation Area, Lillian, Milburn, Milburn Diversion Dam State Wildlife Management Area, Linscott, Walworth, Gates, and Round Valley. This includes the following highways... Highway 183 between mile markers 122 and 123. Highway 2 between mile markers 237 and 276. Highway 92 between mile markers 270 and 273.
