What the bulletin says to do
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in North Platte. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight MDT for the Panhandle of and southwestern Nebraska.

At 829 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 10 miles north of Chappell to 7 miles southwest of Lodgepole. Movement was southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Chappell, Big Springs, Barton, Goldeneye State Wildlife Management Area, and Mount Vernon. This includes Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 78 and 108.
