What the bulletin says to do
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in North Platte. If on or near Lake McConaughy, get out of the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight MDT for the Panhandle of, southwestern and west central Nebraska.

At 755 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 15 miles east of Crescent Lake National Wildlife Refuge to 8 miles northeast of Oshkosh to 9 miles south of Lisco. Movement was southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Oshkosh, Arthur, Lewellen, Lemoyne, Dogtown Flats, Deer Lake, Britton Lake, Bourquim Hill, Adams Flats, Sugar Loaf Hill, Eagle Gulch Campground, Ruthon, Haythorn Lake, Clear Creek State Wildlife Management Area, McKeag, Otter Creek Campground, Lake View Campground, and Ash Hollow State Historical Park. This includes the following highways... Highway 61 between mile markers 98 and 136. Highway 92 between mile markers 115 and 174.
