At 1254 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Wauneta to 6 miles north of Holbrook. Movement was northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects....

What the bulletin says to do

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

At 1254 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Wauneta to 6 miles north of Holbrook. Movement was northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Curtis, Hayes Center, Eustis, Moorefield, Stockville, Medicine Creek Reservoir State Recreation Area, Maywood, Quick, Willow View Campground, Freedom, Hayes Center State Wildlife Management Area, Marengo, Orafino, Bluegill Haven Campground, Red Willow Reservoir State Recreation Area, and Dancing Leaf Earth Lodge. This includes the following highways... Highway 83 between mile markers 27 and 51. Highway 6 between mile markers 53 and 56.
