If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in North Platte. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT/1100 PM MDT/ for southwestern Nebraska.

At 1004 PM CDT/904 PM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Paxton, or 23 miles east of Ogallala, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Wallace, Dickens, and Grainton. This includes Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 149 and 152.
