At 729 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Bassett, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Bassett, Newport, and Mariaville. This includes the following highways... Highway 183 between mile markers 175 and 191. Highway 20 between mile markers 255 and 275. Highway 12 near mile marker 81.
