At 155 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 16 miles southwest of Merriman to 21 miles north of Whitman to 6 miles southeast of Hyannis. Movement was east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Rushville, Ellsworth, Hyannis, Medicine Lake, Whitman, Ashby, Clinton, Speckel Meir Lake, Duluth, Big Hill, Dipping Vat Meadow, Billys Lake, Lone Butte, Swede Lake, Cogill Lake, Intersection of Highway 61 and Survey Valley Road, Rock Hill, Diamond Lake, Indian Hill, and Whitman Road crossing the North Branch of the Middle Loup River. This includes the following highways... Highway 20 between mile markers 89 and 101. Highway 250 between mile markers 8 and 48. Highway 2 between mile markers 117 and 178. Highway 61 between mile markers 140 and 216.
