At 409 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles south of Conchas, or 27 miles west of Tucumcari, moving south at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Montoya, Newkirk, Conchas, Conchas Lake State Park and Cuervo. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 292 and 319. State Road 104 between Mile Markers 63 and 87.
