At 339 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles northwest of Raton Crews Airport, or 11 miles west of Raton, moving east at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Raton and Raton Crews Airport. This includes the following highways... Highway 64 between Mile Markers 332 and 341. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 448 and 453.
