At 452 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6 miles south of Raton Crews Airport, or 16 miles south of Raton, moving southeast at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Raton Crews Airport. This includes the following highways... Highway 64 near Mile Marker 331...and near Mile Marker 333. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 428 and 443.
