At 509 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from 8 miles southwest of Trujillo to 7 miles northwest of Colonias, moving southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Colonias, Santa Rosa Lake State Park and Variadero. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 271 and 273. State Road 104 between Mile Markers 40 and 41...and between Mile Markers 48 and 54.
