At 459 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles northwest of Tularosa, moving west at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds with blowing dust along US 70 near Holloman AFB could reduce visibility resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Locations impacted include... White Sands National Park, Northrup Landing, Tularosa, Three Rivers, Alamogordo, La Luz, Holloman Air Force Base, Salinas Peak, Boles Acres, Oliver Lee State Park, Lake Lucero, and Three Rivers Petroglyph Site. This includes the following highways... Highway 70 in New Mexico between mile markers 186 and 212. Highway 54 in New Mexico between mile markers 46 and 100.
