At 444 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Fort Stanton, or 8 miles northeast of Ruidoso, moving southwest at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Ruidoso, Ruidoso Downs, Capitan, Alto, Bonito Lake and Angus. This includes Highway 380 between Mile Markers 83 and 84.
