At 424 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong showers along a line extending from 14 miles south of Afton to 21 miles southwest of Santa Teresa to 33 miles southwest of Sunland Park. Movement was northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Santa Teresa, Vado, Anthony, Sunland Park, Berino, Chamberino, La Union, Mesquite, La Mesa, Union Pacific Intermodal Terminal, and Kilbourne Hole. This includes Interstate 10 in New Mexico between mile markers 153 and 156.
