Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated....

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until these storms pass.

At 556 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Garden Pass to near Eureka Airport to near Eureka to 8 miles south of Pinto Summit. Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Heavy rainfall along with gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Eureka, Diamond Valley, Eureka Airport, Pinto Summit, Garden Pass, Pancake Summit, Little Antelope Summit, Overland Pass, Newark Valley, and Big Bald Mountain.
