Patchy dense fog is impacting the Western Southern Tier, especially in and near river and creek valleys. The dense fog will reduce visibility to a quarter mile or less. Motorists should slow down, maintain plenty of stopping distance ahead of their vehicles, and use their low beam headlights when encountering fog. The fog is expected to dissipate between about 8 AM and 9 AM this morning.
