At 550 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Crown Heights to Canarsie to near Flatbush to Sheepshead Bay. Movement was southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Flatbush, Coney Island, Rockaway Beach, Crown Heights, Kennedy Airport, Canarsie, Howard Beach, Ozone Park, Bensonhurst, and Sheepshead Bay.
