At 800 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Port Jefferson to near Rocky Point to Middle Island to Brookhaven National Laboratory to near Mastic to Center Moriches. Movement was northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Riverhead, Manorville, Middle Island, Port Jefferson, Wading River, Center Moriches, Mattituck, Westhampton, Coram, Mastic, Rocky Point, Mastic Beach, Mount Sinai, Calverton, and Yaphank.
