At 502 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles southeast of Fairfield to 6 miles northwest of Stony Brook to near Smithtown to near Commack to Melville. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Brentwood, Commack, Centereach, Shirley, Deer Park, Medford, Hauppauge, Ronkonkoma, Manorville, Stony Brook, Middle Island, Port Jefferson, Wading River, Mattituck, and Coram.
