At 539 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Altamont, or 8 miles southwest of Rotterdam, moving north at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts 40 to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Schenectady, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Scotia, Glenville, Niskayuna, Duanesburg, Altamont, Hagaman, Delanson, Rotterdam Junction, Alplaus, East Glenville, Burnt Hills, Pattersonville-Rotterdam Junction, Charlton, Knox, Princetown, Duane, and Glenridge. This includes the following highways... Interstate 88 between exits 24 and 25. Interstate 90 between exits 25a and 26. Interstate 890 between exits 1a and 9.
