Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

At 1144 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Beverly to near Chesterhill. Movement was southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Parkersburg, Marietta, Belpre, St. Marys, Beverly, Chesterhill, Vienna, Williamstown, Belmont, Washington, Boaz, Lubeck, Newport, North Hills, Lowell, Stockport, Lower Salem, Little Hocking, Fleming, and Devola. This includes the following highways... Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 178 and 186. Interstate 77 in Ohio between mile markers 1 and 15. Route 50 in West Virginia between mile markers 1 and 4, and near mile marker 6.
