At 448 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Hilgard, or near La Grande, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... La Grande, Elgin, Imbler, Summerville, and Hilgard. This includes the following highways... Highway 82 between mile markers 9 and 21. Highway 204 between mile markers 33 and 40. Interstate 84 between mile markers 251 and 260.
