At 924 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Foster Lake, or 44 miles south of Burns, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Areas of blowing dust reducing visibility. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Buena Vista Field Station, Harney Lake, and Foster Lake.
